European Training Leaders Conference - Oslo, Norway

This was my 3rd training leaders' network conference. It was another good one! We had inspiring teaching from Lyn Pearce, IHQ and Clive Adams, Norway. Both have a gentle and calming spirit and I think it's what we all needed. We, of course, also had lots of good fun, fellowship and food! Although I only meet most of the other training leaders once or twice a year, they have become good friends and a wonderful source of support and encouragement. I came home with lots of new ideas, more books to add to my 'to read' list and also, refreshed and blessed. You can tell by the photos that I loved being in Norway, too. It's a place where the truth of God as Creator is obvious and beautiful.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for taking the time to show John and I around your corps yesterday, we really appreciated it and it was so interesting to find out about its history! Riga was beautiful and we had am amazing time. Also, if it wasn't for you we probably would never have found our way back to the airport, so we were both very grateful for that too...

We have some good news! We have located Jacob's grandfather’s birth certificate! That is a must for us to adopt from Latvia. God always has perfect timing, I know that yet each time I’m amazed. Also we've decided to sell our house to use the funds for this adoption. So, we are hoping that this year we will be in Riga meeting our boys!! When you think of it, pray for a blessing over our house sale. We might be meeting sooner than I thought!!
